The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Librarian to lead and manage our library team. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the library, develop and implement programs, manage collections, and provide excellent customer service. This role is perfect for a proactive leader with a passion for libraries and community service.

Key requirements of the role

• Degree or Graduate Diploma in Library and Information Science or Library Science
• Minimum of 5 years of professional library experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Experience in program development and community engagement
• Proficiency in library management systems and digital resources
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Working with Children Check clearance
• Class C drivers licence
