Sewer Attendant – Full-time

Council is seeking applications from highly motivated persons to fill this important role within the Water and Wastewater Department.

Qualifications & Experience

• The applicant should have a general knowledge of the operation and maintenance of sewer treatment plants and/or pump stations and be able to perform daily works pertaining to the construction and/or maintenance of:
  • Water and sewer assets, and
  • Associated works regarding all water, wastewater, sewerage, drainage and related furnishings.
• A class C licence, confined spaces certification, good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Salary & Conditions

• The position is Grade 5 in Council’s salary system (from $1,086.51 to $1,217.00 per week plus allowances) depending upon qualifications and experience and 11.5% superannuation.
• Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
• The full-time position is 38 hours per week with a fortnightly Rostered Day Off.
• Rostered “on-call” work will be required.
