The role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Participation Officer to join the Sport & Leisure team to play a significant role in supporting both sporting clubs and volunteer organisations to be efficient and effective in providing their services to the community.
In this role you will collaborate with the community and sporting clubs to undertake forward-planning, promote activities and partner with programs to enhance their overall sustainability. The role will have an emphasis on increasing physical activity and participation, assisting with developing the capacity of volunteers and support implementation of programs for health and wellbeing outcomes.
This role is 2 days a week with flexibility on the days and hours worked.
About You
The successful applicant will have qualifications in sport and recreation or a related discipline as well as knowledge of recreation, open space and health promotion principles, excellent communication and engagement skills and the ability to manage small projects.
A satisfactory police records check and Working with Children Check is required for this position.
