Salary: $94,517.56 - $103,567.10 + 11.5% superannuation + council lease back vehicle/vehicle allowance

About the Role:

As a Swimming Pool Officer you will enhance and promote swimming pool safety, this includes undertaking inspections to ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation and increasing public awareness of swimming pool safety.

You will also inspect swimming pool barriers, assess and finalise swimming pool certificates of compliance and exemptions. Prepare detailed compliance report for legal actions. Investigate and resolve complaints and requests for information from the community, consultants and other stakeholders regarding swimming pool safety.

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Degree, Graduate Diploma or Diploma in Building, Engineering, Construction field, E1 Accreditation or equivalent
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated experience in the inspection of swimming pools against Australian Standard and Swimming Pools Act
  • Knowledge of the Swimming Pools Act and Regulations.
  • Experience in dealing with the community and the professional industry to achieve the best possible outcome
  • Experience and ability to interpret relevant legislation and policies
  • Demonstrated experience in provision of a high standard of customer service and resolving issues through mediation andconflict resolution
