The Role
As our new Team Leader in Pits & Pipes, Asphalt and Concrete, you will contribute to delivering high quality customer focused works and services that are efficient, innovative and responsive to community needs. You will provide expert technical and professional advice relating to asphalt and concrete matters to a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will carry out appropriate inspections of road and associated assets and prepare works programs within budget.
You will be responsible to lead the Pits & Pipes, Asphalt and Concrete team on site, where you allocate work and materials.
The position is based at the City’s Depot in Adam Street Golden Square and works closely with other departments at the depot and across the organisation.
About You
To be successful in this position you will effectively lead and develop a high performing, flexible and resilient team to achieve organisational goals, having previous supervisory experience will be highly regarded.
You will have good communication skills, enjoy working in a team environment, be organised and have the flexibility to changing work requirements ad well as have experience in general road maintenance and concrete work and a strong safety culture.
A current driver’s licence is required with Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) endorsement being desirable. A current worksite traffic management and traffic controller’s certificate will be highly regarded. Construction Induction Card, formerly known as Red Card is essential.
A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
