About the role

Are you an experienced Librarian/Information Specialist who can build capability in their team to deliver outcomes? Are you looking for a new position with lots of variety, an integral role within a supportive and friendly team, and contributing to an organisation that delivers the community's aspirations? Do you like a variety of work in a fun quirky environment surrounded by books? Do you enjoy getting out and about, being with and developing a diverse team of individuals across a variety of locations? Then this position is for you.

The Team Leader (Public Library Services) leads, inspires and supports the delivery of a superb library experience for all visitors of Clarence Valley Libraries. The position is also responsible for leading the Yaegl Country Libraries team and supports the day-to-day library operations the Iluka, Maclean and Yamba library service points.

The position will work with the Regional Library Leadership team to ensure that our public libraries are an inclusive, accessible, and vibrant community destination. The position will be responsible for the training and supervision of Yaegl Country Library staff to maintain and deliver a high-quality visitor experience across the Clarence Valley libraries. 

This position will build relationships and partnerships across the library team, the wider organisation and with community groups. This is a role in which you will combine creativity and problem-solving abilities with logical organisational skills.

Other important information

This position is located at Council's Yamba with weekly travel to Grafton, Maclean and Iluka libraries however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
