Team Leader – Sealed Roads

We’re currently looking for a hands-on, experienced Team Leader to guide our Sealed Roads team, ensuring our infrastructure is safe, reliable, and built to last. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves, lead by example, and leave a lasting mark on your community, this is your opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead a skilled team in the delivery of road construction and maintenance programs
  • Ensure all works meet the standards outlined in the Council’s Road Management Plan
  • Operate and oversee the safe use of plant and equipment on sealed road projects
  • Coordinate work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor project timelines and performance
  • Maintain safety-first work practices, compliance, and reporting standards
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to support larger infrastructure initiatives

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in road maintenance or civil construction
  • Leadership ability — you know how to guide a team and keep things moving
  • Certificate III in Civil Construction (preferred but not essential)
  • Current driver’s licence (Heavy Rigid preferred)
  • Relevant tickets including Traffic Control, Chainsaw (Trim & Crosscut), and First Aid Level 2
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think on your feet
