We are currently seeking applications to fill the position of Technical Officer – Quality Systems and Compliance, within our Water and Wastewater team.

About the role

This position involves providing technical support and advice to the Water and Wastewater team, including the Manager. We are looking for someone who exercises a high degree of autonomy in their work, judgement, initiative, including confidentiality and sensitivity.

The Officer will provide technical advice, supervise and coordinate work activities, including training and assessment of the capabilities of Water and Wastewater employees engaged in the treatment and sampling of Water and Wastewater. This is to ensure compliance with the Burdekin Shire Council Drinking Water Quality Management Plan and Wastewater Treatment Plants’ Site Based Management Plans.

The applicable salary is to a ceiling of Level 5 ($96,406pa) with the commencing salary dependent upon the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
