The City of Canterbury Bankstown is one of the largest Councils in NSW with the most culturally, socially and economically diverse communities in Sydney. We deliver 29 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 370,000 residents. 

The role

The goal is to boost visitor numbers, memberships and engagement at Canterbury-Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centres by effectively promoting library services on digital platforms. This will be guided by data-driven insights to inform strategic marketing decisions.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Manage and maintain library digital channels; including website, social media, eDMs and Google Business pages, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Generate, collate, analyse and evaluate monthly and annual reports relating to library website, social media and eDMs.
  • Plan and deliver eMarketing strategies to promote library services, collections and programs.
  • Regularly analyse statistics and content metrics to make informed marketing decisions
  • Promote diversity and inclusion in marketing efforts.
  • Monitor and respond to online enquiries and community feedback.
  • Meet targets within budget and timeline.

You will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or copywriting.
  • Working with Children Check
  • At least three years' experience in the following;
  • Copywriting and editing, particularly in creating clearly understandable and creative content.
  • Digital marketing, including website management, EDMs and social media.
  • Content Management Systems, such as SharePoint or Drupal
  • Social Media Management tools, such as Hootsuite and eDM platforms such as Vision 6.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting Tools, such as Google Analytics, Power BI or Google Data Studio
  • Graphic Design Tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
  • Development, execution and evaluation of effective online marketing strategies
  • Skilled at collaborating with diverse stakeholders with varying needs, while effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
  • Dedicated to providing excellent customer service through ongoing improvement, with strong interpersonal and communication skills in both oral and written English

The salary range for this opportunity starts at $80,293 (Grade F, Step1) + 11.5% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
