Drive excellence in road maintenance and construction as our new RMCC & Regional Roads Coordinator

Armidale Regional Council is on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced RMCC & Regional Roads Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is based in Armidale, NSW.

As the RMCC & Regional Roads Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of planning, coordinating, and delivering capital projects and maintenance services under the Roads Maintenance Council Contract (RMCC) with Transport for NSW, as well as Regional Road Programs for Armidale Regional Council. Your focus on quality, safety, and environmental sustainability will be crucial in ensuring the successful execution of these programs.

In this role, you will lead a dedicated team and collaborate with contractors to deliver high-quality road maintenance and construction projects. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Transport for NSW, to ensure compliance with all contract requirements, including environmental, risk management, WHS, quality assurance, and effective cost control. You will utilise your expertise in project and contract management, financial management, and technical engineering support to deliver exceptional services to our community.

About You

To excel in this role, you will have a strong background in civil construction focusing on transport infrastructure maintenance and construction. You will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Your experience in financial management, budgeting, and procurement will enable you to effectively plan, monitor, and report on budget expenditure, ensuring the efficient use of resources.

You will be a proactive and innovative thinker, committed to driving a safety culture that prioritises the health and wellbeing of staff, contractors, volunteers, and the community. Your ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders, including the community and customers, will be crucial in understanding their expectations and delivering high-quality services.
