As part of the Parks Services team, you will undertake maintenance activities for parks, reserves and streetscapes within the City of Rockingham including, but not limited to, mowing, edging and whipper snipping.

You will be required to work to daily maintenance schedules and undertake maintenance with various types of turf equipment ensuring safe operation.

You are responsible for your own productivity and efficiency, maintain pride in your work, possess well developed interpersonal skills and enjoy working independently or as part of a small team. You have experience in the turf maintenance industry and have operated and maintained commonly used equipment, including ride on mowers and turf equipment.

To be considered for this role you must hold a current and valid ‘C’ class driver’s licence and Construction Induction Training (White Card). Relevant industry experience in turf management, traffic management and a current Provide First Aid Certificate will be highly regarded.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

  1. Construction Industry Training (White Card)
  2. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment or able to work alone under direction.
  3. Able to work in accordance with WHS industry obligations.
  4. Experience in the maintenance and safe operation of various parks and gardens related plant and equipment.

As well as a gross weekly wage of $1,403.70 (incorporating all allowances and penalty rates), we offer:

  • 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
