This is a great full-time position for someone who is keen to learn various parts of Council operations, supporting both the waste and wastewater teams.

We are looking for someone to work at both the Armidale Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Armidale Waste Management Facility who is team focused and able to work independently. You must have good time management skills while being reliable and willing to learn.

The Waste Relief Operator is required to operate and maintain the Wastewater Treatment Plant and related equipment and chemicals to prescribed standards. The position holder will also need to perform grounds and building maintenance and clerical duties as required for both the Waste and Wastewater facilities. When working at the Waste Management Facility, you will carry out general waste transfer station and community recycling centre operations including but not limited to weighbridge operation, giving customer instructions and assistance, litter pick up, loading and delivery of recovered products like mulches, compost, crushed concrete etc.
