THE POSITION:
Fairfield City Council fosters a strong safety culture, championed by the General Manager and Executive Leadership Team. Operating as a Self-Insurer, the Council maintains a robust safety framework committed to ongoing enhancement, ensuring a resilient safe workplace environment. We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced WHS professional to join our diverse workforce, which encompasses a wide array of Work Health and Safety risks—from major construction projects, childcare centres to leisure facilities, roads, waste management, logistics, libraries, and administration.
We seek a driven individual who can sustain and enhance our high safety standards across the Council through collaborative efforts. The WHS Business Partner will engage with both blue-collar and white-collar staff, offering guidance, support, and advisory services to facilitate safe, efficient, and practical operations. This role also carries responsibility for ensuring compliance of the WHS Management System with the Work Health and Safety Act and National Heavy Vehicle legislation (Chain of Responsibility).
