Job Description

The Opportunity 

We are seeking a Youth Programs Casual Staff member who can assist Council’s Community Development Team in developing and delivering activities and events that encourage engagement, consultation, and communication between young people and Council.

Your responsibilities include supporting and encouraging the engagement of young people in Council’s youth programs, events, groups, and consultation processes; facilitating their active participation and assisting them in providing feedback on issues that matter to them; and communicating with schools, youth service providers, community groups, and local young people to promote involvement in Council’s youth initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience

What we would like you to bring to the team

• Ability to support youth programs and community events.
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to effectively engage with young people from diverse backgrounds, schools and other community groups.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability report feedback.
