Role Overview:

Aquatic Programs Officers (APO) ensure that the swimming and water safety program at the Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre (BALC) is delivered to the highest standard as well as making sure all the administration that supports our programs is carried out effectively.  

An APO should be experienced in the area of swim teaching and water safety, having worked as a swim teacher across a number of disciplines (infant pre-school, access and inclusion & adults etc). As the face of our Aquatic Program, an APO will need to be able conduct themselves in a highly professional manner and provide excellent customer service to students, parents and fellow staff.  

You will also support BALC by contributing to a strong team culture within the Aquatic Programs team.

We are currently recruiting for new Aquatic Program Officers who are available to fill a minimum of two of the shifts listed below: 
 

  • Monday PM – 3pm till 7pm 
  • Tuesday PM – 3pm till 7pm 
  • Thursday PM – 3pm till 7pm 
  • Friday PM – 3pm till 7pm 
  • Saturday – 7:30am till 1:30pm 

This will be an on-going term-based contract with shifts negotiated prior to commencement. The contract will be a combination of some of the above shifts with opportunities to pick up additional APO hours and/or swim teaching.
