We are currently seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team.
Council currently owns and manages $2.5 billion worth of infrastructure assets and invests in access of $100 million annually. If you are looking to expand your asset accounting skills and gain further experience in a challenging environment within a fast-growing LGA then look no further.
About the Role:
The primary function of this position will be to provide expert asset accounting and taxation advisory services to internal stakeholders to support best practice in asset measurement, recording and reporting to meeting Councils statutory reporting obligations including compliance to tax legislation.
You will be maintaining Council’s register for all non-infrastructure assets in Technology One. Collate information from internal stakeholders on property, plant and equipment leases and maintaining an up-to-date register for lease accounting purposes. Review monthly bank reconciliations and liaise with responsible Finance Staff to clear outstanding transactions.
