Business Analyst

Permanent Fulltime position

Salary: $82,534 to $116,755 per annum, (based on 70 hours per fortnight) plus superannuation and a 9-day fortnight 

Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience.

Hornsby Shire Council has a fulltime position available for an energetic and experienced Business Analyst.  The position will be located in our Administration office at Hornsby and is a 35 hour week, with some work from home options.

Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. About the role

This role contributes to Council’s digital transformation by identifying and implementing system and process changes that improve business efficiency and/or the customer experience.

The focus will be on the transformation and continuous improvement of Council’s business processes, and the procurement, configuration and ongoing development of supporting corporate systems.  

About you

The Business Analyst is a pro-active, enthusiastic, customer-focused person with highly developed analysis and problem-solving skills.

You will have the ability to translate user requirements into systems specifications, to explain complex and technical concepts in plain English (both in writing and verbally), in a way that is easy for non-technical users to follow and understand, and solid influencing skills.
