Cabonne Council has an exciting opportunity with a vacancy in our Environemtal Services team for a permanent-part time Landfill station Attendant in Cargo 2 days per week.

The Landfill Station Attendant is responsible for ensuring the Cabonne Council landfill and transfer station sites operate effectively and efficiently to maximise benefits to the community and relevant stakeholders, and to adhere to all relevant legislation, regulations, council policies and procedures.

Work teams are led by a supportive and proactive leadership team. You will be provided support and training in line with Council's values to learn the role and ensure our workers are resilient, adaptive and are able to perform to Council and community expectations.

What Do You Need to Be Successful?

Essential

  • Construction Induction Certification (White Card).

Desirable

  • Class C driver's licence

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work weekends as part of a roster.
  • Ability to work with the public in a firm but courteous manner.
  • Prepared to participate in relevant qualifications and/or experience training.
  • Adequate literacy skills to understand various controls, plans and documents that ensure safe site operation within relevant laws.
  • Ability to operate basic computer records or electronic data devices
  • Effective communications skills and ability to followed detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a team-based approach, reliability, and punctuality, with a proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Displays a positive attitude

Other details relating to this position

  • This position is graded 2-3 with an hourly rate of $26.56 - $29.59
