Casual STEM Facilitator

About the position

The Casual STEM Facilitator will be responsible for assisting in the development, promotion and delivery of programs in partnership with schools, government and business which lead to innovation, diversification and opportunities across the Muswellbrook Shire. Reporting to the Innovation Coordinator, these programs for students and the community will develop skills and networks for the jobs of the future, foster entrepreneurialism and support existing and new industries.

For over four decades it has been at the heart of the State's energy industry, and we are now on the transition to being a renewable energy hub. We have the two largest thoroughbred horse studs in the southern hemisphere, a healthy viticulture industry, and a large part of the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park within the Shire. We are also central to Newcastle, Tamworth and Dubbo.

About you

• Degree qualifications in Teaching, Science Communication or other relevant degree with experience developing and delivering STEM content
• An ability to transfer your skills from an education context to a corporate environment connecting these two worlds effectively
• Experience in the delivery of innovative STEM curriculum
• Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver and evaluate learning outcomes which respond to the needs of different groups, builds capacity and maximises individual learning outcomes
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with diverse teams and build productive relationships
• Evidence of planning, organisational and project management skills, including the management of technology, equipment and multi-faceted program initiatives within set timeframes
• Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver the Job Specific Key Accountabilities (outlined in the position description)
• Demonstrated Developed Key Capabilities as defined in the Key Capabilities Table (outlined in the position description).

We offer

• Casual with an hourly rate from $62.2479 to $69.9125 (inclusive of casual loading) (depending on qualifications, skills and experience), plus 11.5% superannuation
