The Role 

Provide assistance and resources to families in the City of Greater Bendigo region with comprehensive sleep and settling support to families with newborns, babies (6-12 months) and toddlers.

Using your knowledge and experience you will conduct Parenting Focus Groups and specialised support groups to address common concerns and challenges to a diverse population, ensuring inclusivity and cultural sensitivity.

This role requires visits to homes and community facilities where you will meet with vulnerable and diverse children and their families to maximise attendance at kindergarten and support their successful transition to school.

About You 

To be successful in this varied position, you will have extensive experience or education in understanding the complexities which exist for families entering Australian education systems.

You will have the ability to translate and communicate valuable information to assist families, parents and carers regarding sleep and settling and the Australian education systems.

Using your soft skills and experience you will engage and work effectively with families with children aged 0-6 years and those experiencing disadvantage and/or vulnerability.

If you hold formal qualifications in Child Protection, Early Childhood Education, Community Development, Social Services, or experience, we welcome your application.

A satisfactory police records check, Working with Children’s Check is required for this position and a current Victorian driver licence.
