The opportunity

The Community Development Officer plays a key role in identifying and developing partnership opportunities between Council and its community to achieve improved social and cultural outcomes. Other responsibilities of the position include:

• Supporting Council's Manager Economic Development and Tourism as required
• Coordinating and supporting events on Council land
• Managing Council's s355 Committees and Council Volunteers
• Providing support to the Aboriginal, Aging, Youth and Disability sectors

Key requirements of the role

To be successful in this role, you will have tertiary qualifications in Community Development or a related discipline and relevant work experience including demonstrated project and event management experience and the ability to write high quality reports and correspondence.
