The Property Strategy and Services division provides a comprehensive range of real estate services and manages the community facilities portfolio which is designed to meet the operational needs of the organisation.

As a senior member, this position plays an integral role in managing Council’s community facilities services portfolio. This includes Council’s community halls, centres, tennis and futsal courts, community buses and sporting fields in line with Council’s vision, ensuring they are well utilised, properly maintained with a high standard of housekeeping.

This position is a diverse and dynamic role requiring a professional individual who can focus on both strategic and operational requirements to drive continuous improvement practices. You will be required to liaise with various community stakeholders for matters relating to Council facility and services.

Your analytical, lateral thinking and problem-solving skills will be required to fulfil these tasks. To thrive in the position, you will be a highly motivated individual who can work in a rapidly changing environment with competing demands.

ESSENTIAL

  1. Demonstrated experience or similar experience in managing community facilities including booking facilities, arranging repairs and maintenance, cleaning, security, pest control, risk assessment and management.
  2. Experience in staff supervision and development, administration, and client liaison in a politically sensitive environment.
  3. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including oral, written skills for communication with a diverse range of stakeholders
  4. Demonstrated experience in dealing and negotiating with community organisations who deliver direct services to the community
  5. Ability to operate in a rapidly changing environment and prioritise conflicting work demands for a wide variety of tasks with strict deadline.
  6. Demonstrated experience to achieve high level of customer satisfaction combined with ability to respond appropriately to enhance customer service, respond to customers/ hirers/ clients’ requests and meet customer service requirements.
  7. Current Class C Driver’s Licence.

SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

  • Full-Time permanent position, 70 hours per fortnight
  • The position is a Grade 6, salary range is $92,545 p.a. with progression to $99,659 p.a. with performance progression to $108,404 p.a.
  • Plus 11.5% Superannuation
  • A motor vehicle benefit is available
  • A mobile phone is provided
