About the Role
The Content Management Librarian sits within our vibrant and energetic Library Services team at the City of Greater Dandenong. The team works across the municipality to deliver services, programs and resources for our uniquely diverse local communities.
Key responsibilities of this role include developing and maintaining the Library Management System (LMS) in-line with relevant standards and procedures and in consultation with specialist colleagues. This position is also responsible for the integration of and access to digital content through the LMS and associated web based applications. The role oversees the Virtual Library (including the Library’s website, online catalogue, enews and mobile application). Monitoring quality cataloguing and end processing of library materials, plus effective delivery of assigned projects and tasks is imperative.

To be successful in this role, you will be committed to the delivery of excellent service and continuous improvement. You must have the capacity to interact effectively and positively with a diverse multicultural community as well as suppliers, library and Council staff. You will demonstrate a proactive approach in resolving issues that arise from your area of responsibility. Applicants must be able to demonstrate knowledge of current cataloguing practices, associated LMS maintenance experience and have web system application skills to improve virtual access to a variety of resources.
