About the position

The role involves aiding in setting up various venues for a variety of events, such as festivals, concerts, family fun days, and trade shows. Duties may encompass managing kiosks or merchandise stands, ushering guests, ticket checking, and assisting with general event setup. Additionally, there may be tasks related to setting up stage, lighting, and sound equipment. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout an event is a key aspect of the role.

Council has committed to delivering the following festivals, which the Events Staff may be required to be available. 

  • 9 September – Nostalgia Festival
  • 1 November – Blue Heeler Film Festival
  • 2 November – Denman Wine, Food and Film Affair
  • 31 December – New Years Eve
  • 9 March – Rock’n the Brook

About you

  • School Certificate or equivalent required
  • Experience in prior customer service preferred, but not essential
  • Must be able to stay calm in stressful, fast-paced situations
  • Experience dealing effectively with conflict

We offer

  • Casual positions available, hours are on a needed basis only. Flexibility with working hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Hourly rate from $35.7246 to $36.8707 (inclusive of casual loading) (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 11.5% superannuation
