As part of the Financial Services team, you will ensure compliance of all relevant accounting standards within the City of Rockingham including the Purchasing policy and management of the Fixed Asset Register. You will provide financial advice to the organisation ensuring all systems are not only compliant, but efficient and effective.

You possess well developed interpersonal skills and are comfortable communicating to all levels of management.  You have strong experience and knowledge of contemporary accounting practices (preferably within a local government entity), and high level of experience using large financial management software.

An undergraduate qualification in Accounting or Finance is desirable for this role.

You will have experience in a financial position preferable within a local government authority with exposure to functions relevant to this position.

  2. Sound knowledge of computerised Accounts Payable and Purchasing functions within a large organisational environment
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of computer information systems specifically the Microsoft Office suite and large financial management programs

We are offering a gross salary of $82,627 per annum, and:  

  • 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
