Cobar is a rural mining community located in western New South Wales, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city living. Council owns and operates the Cobar Shire & TAFE Library, Great Cobar Heritage Centre, Lilliane Brady Village (aged care facility), Children's Services, Youth & Community Centre as well as works depots in Euabalong and Cobar.

ABOUT YOU
Your knowledge of asset management principals and practices combined with your ability to work with minimal guidance to provide workable solutions will ensure your success in this role. You will be primarily responsible for the planning, coordination, and oversight of fleet and facilities management functions across Council, including the airport, workshop, building and electrical maintenance, and stores.
Our ideal candidate would be a motivated, naturally innovative, customer-focused individual with a positive attitude and the demonstrated experience negotiating positive outcomes with a diverse range of stakeholders who all have different needs and priorities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Key responsibilities include the development, implementation and ongoing management of asset management systems; continuously improving facilities maintenance management processes across the organisation; and sustaining quality service levels by managing current and future business needs.
A total remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate, dependent on skills, experience and qualifications including an annual salary range of $115,000 - $134,000 plus superannuation and may include relocation assistance, housing assistance, and a leaseback vehicle.
