The role
An opportunity exists within the Resource Recovery and Education unit for a Garbage Side Loader Operator to join their team. You will provide efficient, safe and effective garbage truck operation and promote a positive customer service-oriented image of the City of Greater Bendigo.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have safe and competent operation of heavy rigid plant, knowledge of routine maintenance and minor repairs of vehicles, quality control techniques and basic administrative skills.

The successful applicant will be punctual, flexible, organised, cooperative and have the ability to communicate effectively.

This position requires 6am starts Monday – Friday, works all public holidays apart from Good Friday and Christmas Day and flexibility is required around weekend work.

If you hold a current driver’s licence with Heavy Rigid (HR) endorsement and experience in the operation of heavy vehicles, we welcome your application. A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
