The Role
The Kids Active Travel program encourages students and families from up to 5 primary schools in Greater Bendigo to improve their active travel (walking and riding) behaviours to and from school to increase their health and wellbeing outcomes.
In this new grant funded project role, you will develop and deliver active travel initiatives at up to five schools as per the Kids Active Travel Program Funding Agreement.
You will implement the project workplan, develop partnerships with key stakeholders, work with priority schools to increase travel opportunities, infrastructure and behaviour change options within their environment, prepare a range of correspondence and reports and support project evaluation.
This position is 2 days a week, with flexibility on the days of week worked.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have knowledge and/or experience in projects relating to health promotion, community development or similar, excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer service focus, strong time management skills, the ability to work in a team with computer skills.
If you have qualification in sport and recreation, health promotion, community development or similar we welcome your application.
A satisfactory police records check and employee working with children check is required for this position.
