An exciting opportunity exists for an Irrigation Technician, to join our Parks & Gardens section in a permanent role. The role will work closely with our gardens, Botanics, City Entrance, Sports grounds and open space teams to ensure that the turf surfaces & gardens at these high-profile locations are maintained to a high standard. It is an exciting opportunity to join a team preparing sites & displays for local and national events as well as for passive recreation and enjoyment across all our city.
This position will work as a member of the Open Spaces team to ensure all irrigation systems across the City of Ballarat’s open spaces and gardens are monitored and maintained in accordance with current procedures and standards. The position will be a part of a team that plays an important role in facilitating the operation and maintenance of irrigation and telemetry systems at these key locations.
You will need demonstrated work experience and a positive approach to your work with a genuine passion for irrigation works within Parks and Gardens, with a strong focus on maintaining irrigation systems for turf surfaces and gardens across the City of Ballarat

This is a permeant full-time position that will work a nine-day fortnight. The salary is a Band 3 with a range between $66,981 to $71,105 per annum inclusive of allowances plus statutory superannuation.
