The Oppor­tu­ni­ty

We seek a Team Mem­ber CBD (Parks & Gar­dens) who will per­form a range of gen­er­al clean­ing and gar­den­ing main­te­nance duties in the Todd Mall, Civic Cen­tre and imme­di­ate sur­rounds con­tribut­ing to the pre­sen­ta­tion and liv­abil­i­ty of Alice Springs. 

Your respon­si­bil­i­ties will include all oth­er areas of the CBD includ­ing sweep­ing, scrub­bing, vac­u­um­ing and the removal of lit­ter and graf­fi­ti, iden­ti­fy and remove weeds, pests and dis­eases and erad­i­cate them uti­liz­ing man­u­al removal and / or pes­ti­cides and her­bi­cides as appro­pri­ate, safe­ly oper­ate and main­tain plant and equip­ment includ­ing ride-on / push mow­er, blow­er, pres­sure clean­er, whip­per-snip­per, edger and blow­er-vac and per­form Parks & Gar­dens duties with­in capa­bil­i­ties and/​or con­sis­tent with the lev­el of this posi­tion as required.

• 6 weeks annu­al leave with addi­tion­al gen­er­ous leave enti­tle­ments (annu­al leave is paid at the employee’s ordi­nary hourly rate togeth­er with a leave load­ing of 17.5%.) + 3 weeks per­son­al leave
