Learn to Swim Instructor - Casual

About the position

As a Casual Learn to Swim Instructor you will perform weekend and holiday work at our Muswellbrook and Denman Aquatic Centre facilities. You will:

• Maintain order and prevent accidents at our Aquatic Centre facilities through the application of policies, rules, regulations, and ordinances.  
• Monitor and maintain pool facilities, identify potential hazards or unsafe conditions and respond appropriately to have the hazard eliminated or appropriately managed.
• Engage in public relations and the provision of Aquatic or Fitness Programs i.e. Learn-to-Swim Instruction, Spin Classes, Group Fitness Classes and other duties as required.  
• Undergo relevant training and provide first aid to patrons.

About you

• Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality Customer Service
• Program Certification:
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming or Royal Life Saving Swim Teacher
  • Fitness Instructor Cert III or Higher (desirable)
• Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
• CPR and/or First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
• Lifeguard Certificate (desirable)
• Statement of Attainment in Aquatic Technical Operator (desirable)
