About the role

The role of Maintenance and Support Officer - Town Centres is responsible for providing an efficient and proactive asset maintenance and event support service for identified Town Centre locations throughout the Central Coast region.

Key Duties: 

  • Act as the first point of contact on day to day basis for Town Centre tenants and stakeholders, addressing concerns, determining appropriate solutions and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships
  • Understand and ensure the appropriate implementation of operational and maintenance contracts in place for Town Centres;
  • In collaboration with the relevant Town Centre Coordinators develop, implement and ensure adherence to Town Centre annual maintenance schedules;
  • Carry out reactive, routine and programmed maintenance and repair work, in line with agreed maintenance schedules and within agreed standards and timeframes, including cleaning, repairs and general upkeep in coordination with businesses, contractors and other Council maintenance staff to ensure work is carried out efficiently with minimal disruption to the normal operation of Town Centres;
  • Operate a range of minor plant and hand tools and maintain adequate inventories of supplies, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance operations;

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Current WHS Construction Induction (White Card).

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position ranges between $56.9k - $68.3k plus 11.5% superannuation plus penalty rates.
  • This is a Permanent part-time role. 
  • This role's primary work location is The Entrance Town Centre however, will be required to work between all town centres and event locations. 
  • Successful candidates will be required to have vaccinations against Tetanus.

Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
