Permanent Full Time Opportunity
38-hour week 9-day fortnight (Rostered Days Off)
Salary Ranging from $63,380.20 - $73,658.52 p.a + 11.5% Superannuation (Depending on Experience and Qualifications)
The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to carry out routine work operating a combination jet and vacuum truck. operations include drain cleaning, sewage pump station cleaning, sewage treatment plant cleaning, non-destructive digging, inspections, maintenance, repair, renewal and construction of water and sewer reticulation assets as directed.
The position holder will follow instructions or carry out work in accordance with adopted practices and procedures complying with safe work practices under the instruction of a team leader or supervisor. interaction with the public is a key focus of this role and the need for excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to representing council in a positive and solutions focused manner.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum two years demonstrated experience and proven knowledge in maintenance activities related to wastewater network assets, operating plant, tools, equipment and machinery.
- Proven ability in team collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skill set.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devices, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable field productivity and scheduling based systems to facilitate day- to-day operations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on operational and maintenance services.
- Hold a current HR Drivers Licence and WHS Induction Card,
- Willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment; Confined Space Entry Certificate, Working from Heights ticket, Working Safely Near Live Electrical Apparatus certificate, Traffic Control Combo (Stop Slow Bat and Implement Traffic Plans), Asbestos Awareness training, Skid-Steer Excavator.
- Participate in a pre-employment medical prior to commencement
