About the Opportunity

We are seeking an energetic and proactive Team Leader to join our Heywood Roads and Infrastructure Maintenance unit. This role is predominantly office-based, with opportunities to engage in a variety of outdoor activities as part of the responsibilities. 

This position is responsible for the coordination of programmed maintenance activities in accordance with the Road Management Plan, the management and supervision of staff, coordinating daily operations and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.

What you need to Succeed

  • A demonstrated history of being a strong communicator and collaborator.
  • Sound problem solving skills.
  • Ability to facilitate and assist in driving and embedding a positive staff culture.
  • Sound computer skills including using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) are essential.
  • Strong literacy skills and the ability to learn and adapt to new programs and technology.
  • Understanding of service delivery skills, including effective communication, active listening and empathy.
  • Willingness to participate in after hours / weekend work and / or being on-call as required.
