POSITION OBJECTIVE
In your role as the maintenance fitter, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of fixed plant equipment including trommels, screens, conveyors, sorters, compactors etc. as well as some mobile plant equipment such as excavators, loaders, and forklifts. You will be performing all preventative and routine
maintenance as well as attending to any breakdowns in order to get machinery up and running ASAP. Part of your new role may also include assisting in the installation and commissioning of new plant machinery as well as welding repair work and some minor fabrication works.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Trade qualified with experience in hydraulic systems.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatics, diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy equipment components.
• Experience in working on conveyors, crushers would be desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed
performance standards in order to contribute to a culture of performance excellence.
• Ability to work autonomously with well-developed time management and organisational skills.
• Agility and resilience to work within a constantly evolving business environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team but also independently, with strong initiative and organisational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, highly organised and able to balance competing and diverse priorities.
