Ballarat is home to some of Australia’s most historically significant cultural venues including Her Majesty’s Theatre, Civic Hall and the Mining Exchange. City of Ballarat’s freshly formed Cultural Venues team is embarking on exciting period of change and growth. In late 2024, Victoria’s oldest theatre is re-opening for its 150th anniversary after multiple stages of revitalisation, Civic Hall is returning to its live music touring roots and the Mining Exchange is being re-imagined for the future as a destination for art, performance, design, food, wine and more. The Role: We are looking for a strategically minded specialist with experience in arts and/or entertainment marketing to play a senior role in supporting brand and market development across the three iconic venues. This critical role will be focused on driving innovative and effective integrated campaigns and supporting venue partners to achieve exceptional market-driven outcomes for their events. This is an opportunity for an experienced operator who understands innately how to turn insights into action to gain the best results. With a flare for understanding what drives engagement and connection to brand effectively, the role will have a key responsibility for driving planning across Cultural Venues owned channels. This challenging and rewarding role will work cooperatively across the Economy and Experience Division and national arts and live entertainment sector to support the creation of unforgettable experiences for locals and visitors to the Ballarat region.
