Why Your Expertise Matters:

In today’s fast-paced business environment, having a Contracts and Procurement expert with advanced contract and commercial expertise is crucial. Your role will directly impact our ability to secure advantageous deals, manage risks, and ensure optimal contract performance.

How you will make a difference

As Procurement Lead, you will be responsible for Council’s day-to-day Procurement function, including but not limited to managing formal Request for Tender processes and providing Council staff with advice in relation to strategic, targeted purchasing processes to ensure compliance with Council’s Procurement Policy and drive value for money outcomes.

You will oversee the administration of Council’s vendor management platform and be responsible for maintaining an updated and effective suite of procurement and contract documents in line with legislative and policy requirements and procurement best practice. You will regularly contribute to continuous improvement in systems.

What we’re looking for:

Someone who can build strong partnerships with key stakeholders and assist with training of staff.

  • Qualification in procurement, finance, business, law or a similar field and/or significant experience in a procurement, contract administration, accounting or finance role.
  • Current Driver’s Licence

Desirable

  • Satisfactory National Police Check
  • A relevant Tertiary Qualification in Accounting, Business, Law or similar.
  • Experience working in a Local Government Environment
