As a Waste Recovery Contracts Supervisor, you'll be at the forefront of managing key contracts that support the delivery of the Council’s Resource Recovery Management Strategy. This is your chance to contribute to innovative waste recovery projects that benefit the community and the environment.

What You’ll Do:
•    Lead contract administration for vital waste services such as kerbside collection, scrap metal recovery, hazardous waste disposal, and more. You'll ensure these services meet the highest standards.
•    Monitor contractor performance and compliance, leveraging data insights to recommend improvements and identify trends that could affect costs and risks.
•    Develop strong business relationships with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.
•    Oversee the tendering process, ensuring procurement meets the goals of value for money, environmental sustainability, and ethical behavior.
•    Drive project management by developing action plans, monitoring progress, and making data-driven decisions to improve service delivery.
•    Provide strategic advice to Council departments on waste recovery, staying ahead of legislative changes and industry best practices.
•    Lead and inspire a small team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

Our ideal candidate will have: 
•    Tertiary qualifications relevant to contract management or equivalent experience in a related field.
•    C Class Drivers Licence
•    The ability to analyse data, make informed recommendations, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
•    A passion for contract management/ negotiation and project delivery, with a sharp eye for detail and process improvement.
•    Strong leadership and communication skills to build productive partnerships and motivate your team.
