About the position

The Revenue Accountant will provide valuable and insightful analysis and reporting to Finance management to ensure Council’s rating function is managed accurately and efficiently. This position will manage a small group of employee’s and provide financial oversight of all revenue streams. The position will also be responsible for the management of payments owed to Council.

About you

  • Degree qualifications in accounting, finance or related discipline or significant contemporary experience in a relevant field. Desirable to have a CPA or CA qualification.
  • Knowledge of the Local Government Act, Strata Titles Act and Valuation of Land Act in areas pertaining to rates and land valuations
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to lead, coach and support staff
  • Demonstrated high level customer service skills
  • Highly developed numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer literacy, including advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver the Job Specific Key Accountabilities (outlined in the Position Description).
  • Demonstrated advanced key capabilities as defined in the Key Capabilities Table (outlined in the Position Description).

  • Permanent full time, 35 hours per week
  • Salary from $90,633 to $101,793 per year (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 11.5% superannuation
