Revenue Officer

• Part Time Fixed Term Position - Until April 2025
• 4 Days Per Week - 8:30am to 5:00pm (Tuesday to Friday)
• Band 4 - Salary Range $72,119 to $76,460 per annum Pro Rata + 11.5% Super
• Salary offered will depend on level of skills and experience.

The Opportunity

Melton City Council is seeking an energetic and self-motivated person to assume the role of Revenue Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in local government finance and administration.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high level administrative support to both the rates department and ratepayers. You'll possess impeccable attention to detail and a genuine flair for outstanding customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. You'll thrive in our dynamic, evolving environment and take pride in being a key resource for the Council.

• Update Name and Address Register including processing change of ownership and address with a high level of accuracy.
• Update and maintain owner occupier codes for the electoral roll.
• Be actively involved in the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
• Utilise corporate systems, processes and standards for the handling of all documentation.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

• Post-secondary qualification in administration (below diploma level) plus some experience in an administrative role or relevant experience working in a revenue environment.
• Experience in the operation of a variety of Windows based applications and databases.
• Demonstrated ability to use initiative to solve problems and prioritise workloads to achieve work targets.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new situations, showing initiative in responding to challenging and competing work tasks.
