Senior Finance Officer - Taxation Compliance
MidCoast Council is seeking a Senior Finance Officer – Taxation Compliance to join our Financial Accounting Team. Reporting directly to the Team Leader of Financial Accounting, this role is essential for supporting our annual financial and tax compliance tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records through regular ledger reconciliations.
Ideally, we are looking for an individual with a diploma level qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and relevant experience in processing and recording financial transactions, including completing financial reconciliations and preparing general financial reports. If you have a background in financial accounting and tax compliance and are skilled in maintaining accurate financial records, we encourage you to apply.
Salary: Commencing salary package range circa $69,000 p.a. - $76,000 p.a. plus superannuation. (Dependent on skills and experience.)
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
Senior Finance Officer - Revenue
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Officer – Revenue to join our Financial Accounting team. Reporting to the Team Leader Financial Accounting, you will play a crucial role in accurately recording revenue within our financial systems and supporting the preparation of financial and management reports.
The ideal candidate will hold a diploma in Accounting or Finance (a higher qualification is preferred) and possess extensive experience in preparing financial statements and management reports, with a strong background in complex reconciliations. If you are committed to upholding organisational values and have a keen eye for detail, we invite you to apply.
Salary: Commencing salary package range circa $72,000 p.a. - $79,000 p.a plus superannuation. (Dependent on skills and experience.)

Location: Both positions will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
