POSITION SUMMARY
The Stores and Procurement Advisor is responsible for the overall day-to-day coordination of the procurement and stores functions within Council, including but not limited to the:
• Supervision of Stores staff.
• Design and implementation of a procurement framework.
• Management of tender processes.
• Provision of contract management and probity advice.
• Development of purchasing processes.
• Maintenance of procurement and tendering software systems such as Vendor Panel, Tenderlink (or equivalent).
• Development and implementation of continuously improving procurement and contract management solutions across Council.
The Stores and Procurement Advisor is also responsible for providing training, support and advice to Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and staff, to ensure that Council is compliant with applicable procurement standards, legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines.
