The Opportunity
Are you an experienced leader in urban drainage systems? Do you have a passion for maintaining and enhancing community infrastructure? We’re looking for a dynamic Team Leader to oversee our drainage maintenance and construction programs at Rural City of Wangaratta.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead maintenance and drainage teams, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Ensure all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements are met, including SWMS and site inductions.
- Operate various plant and equipment to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of work activities, including diaries and timesheets.
- Foster cooperative relationships with other council staff and assist other teams as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate III in Civil Construction preferred, with relevant experience in Urban/Rural Drainage.
- Traffic control certification and chainsaw certification required.
- Proven experience in leading and supervising work teams, with strong communication skills.
- Current driver’s license (heavy rigid preferred) and experience with left-hand drive machinery are desirable.
