Team Leader – Horticulturalist

  • Salary: Level G $76,124 per annum ($1463 per week)
  • Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
  • Full Time Permanent Position
  • 9-day fortnight

We are seeking a suitably qualified, highly motivated and well-organised individual with substantial experience in horticulture and leadership.  The Team Leader Horticulturalist is responsible for leading the operational crew, whilst undertaking horticultural activities and providing technical advice on the City’s parks and streetscapes.

To be successful for this position you will have a minimum of three years’ experience in the horticultural maintenance industry and hold or are willing to obtain the following mandatory tickets and qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Horticulture or equivalent qualification (Essential)
  • Relevant leadership qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Appropriate plant operating certificates (chainsaw).
  • WA MR Class Driver's Licence (Essential)
  • Basic Traffic Management and Traffic Control Certificates.
  • Chemical Certificate (Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases AHCCHM307, Transport and store chemical AHCCHM304 and Control weeds AHCPMG301).
  • Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card). (Essential)
  • Current First Aid Certificate including CPR (HLTAID011 and HLTAID009).
