About the Opportunity

The Portland Arts Centre are looking for multi-skilled technicians to join our casual events pool. Our technicians work tasks across all production areas including sound, lighting and staging. Applicants with experience in only one area, or transferrable skills are encouraged to apply, as on the job training will be provided to the successful applicants.

Please note this work is event based and will not have regular hours. It is best suited to people with a passion for working in the creative industries, who are looking for some additional work to supplement their other commitments.

What you need to Succeed

  • A passion for live performance.
  • Good knowledge and experience of sound and/or lighting production equipment and practices.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Great communication skills, giving you the ability to work safely and collaboratively with our team, and our clients.
