Our Key Venues section oversees all of our aquatic and leisure centres. We deliver first-class activity and program choice, we promote Blacktown City as the leader in sport, recreation and leisure. Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope is an award-winning multi-purpose facility that offers high-quality programs and services. It includes an indoor aquatic centre with 25 metre 10-lane lap pool, wave pool, program pool, a 4-court stadium and 16-court tennis complex as well as a health and fitness centre, crèche and function room facilities. 

The role of Service Advisor includes but is not limited to undertaking the main reception function, greeting customers, offering advice on activities and programs, receipting payments and administering bookings at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope. 

Ideal candidates will represent Blacktown Venue Management and the respective facilities in a positive light at all times, and provide the highest levels of customer care and service to all users.

Position purpose:

  • follow instructions and guidance as provided by senior staff and work cooperatively with other Key Venues employees
  • ensure the centre operates successfully and in accordance with meeting the programs and services goals and objectives
  • implement the administrative procedures and systems to ensure effective and efficient service delivery to all visitors to the centre
  • successfully provide professional and accurate information to customers and potential customers on programs at the centre
  • facilitate quality customer service through a competent, committed and confident approach to the tasks at hand
  • facilitate a high-quality environment for the enjoyment of customers through compliance with established standards and requirements.

As a Casual Service Advisor, you will be expected to demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude, consistently providing exceptional customer service. Your ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner will ensure their satisfaction.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Experience in a busy customer-based environment
  • Cash handling experience and/or operation of point of sale system
  • Computer literate with demonstrated knowledge of applicable software
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Experience working within a team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $30.4424 per hour plus 25% casual loading
  • Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts
  • Trainee rates apply for applicants under 19 years of age
  • Casual working hours
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
