Key Responsibilities:
• Assist to diagnose, repair and service Council’s Water & Waste Assets
• Assist with the assembly, fitting, and maintenance of mechanical parts and machinery
• Operate lathes, milling machines, and other precision machinery to shape metal components
• Ensure machinery operates efficiently and performs regular checks on equipment
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised workshop environment
Qualifications & Skills:
• Minimum Year 10 high school education
• Mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn
• Keen interest in engineering, machinery, and mechanical systems
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to work with hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner
• Ability to undertake a variety of manual tasks whilst working with heavy equipment in physically demanding environments.
