About the position:

Assist the Manager Sport & Leisure & Coordinator of Aquatic Facilities to achieve a high daily level of efficiency in the operation of the aquatic facilities through quality, safety and customer service measures.  This position is responsible for the maintenance and efficient operation of all plant and equipment.

Key accountabilities:

  • Supervise patrons around the pool and associated areas. Ensure the behaviour of all customers is conducive to the provision of a safe and enjoyable leisure experience.
  • Maintain high standard of customer service and professional conduct. Assist customers with a pleasant and mature approach and respond to customer requests in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate and regulate the use of pool space by various user groups and ensure allocated areas are clearly roped off and marked with signage.

Undertake supervision, rescues and emergency intervention in accordance with Aquarena policies and procedures, RLSWA guidelines for Safe Pool Operation and industry standards and practices

Position requirements:

The successful applicant would ideally have developed customer service and/or administrative experience with the ability to deal with a diverse range of visitors. In addition, an industry qualification in tourism or appropriate on the job training and experience would be highly valued.

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

A salary starting from $84,883 per annum (pro rata) or $42.9568 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
