About the Role
The City of Greater Dandenong is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Arborist to join our Parks team. If you’re passionate about Trees, the Environment and playing a key role in protecting and enhancing Greater Dandenong’s tree canopy then this is the role for you.
Reporting to the Senior Arborist, you will provide expert advice on a range of tree matters, working to protect, grow and diversify Council’s urban forest in line with our Uban Tree Strategy Greening Our City 2018 – 2028.
Your strong interpersonal skills, customer service focus and technical arboriculture knowledge will be key to your success in this dynamic, reactive and fast-paced role. With an emphasis on reactive and proactive tree inspections, resident consultation, contract management and support, OHS monitoring and auditing, quality auditing, and streetscape renewals.

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
The successful candidate will be asked to provide a current Victorian Driver's license, produce a clear Working with Children Check and will be asked to consent to a national police check (and where relevant an ‘international criminal history check’), subject to the operation of spent conviction laws.
