About the opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, hardworking Bush Regenerator, who is passionate about conservation and land management. Help make a difference to the Cumberland Plain in the battle against weeds.

Join our team and share your skills and experiences to deliver projects in revegetation, asset protection, invasive weed control, bushland and wetland maintenance.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Relevant qualifications in a related field such as, Bush Regeneration, Conservation and Land Management (CALM), Horticulture, Natural Resource Management or Environmental Science
  • At least 12 months experience in all facets of the maintenance of bushland of the Cumberland Plain and constructed wetlands
  • SafeWork NSW approved WHS General Construction Induction for Work in NSW
  • Pesticide Application Accreditation
  • Current class C Driver's Licence.

Desirable:

  • Chainsaw operation certificate of competence
  • Class MR Drivers Licence
  • Experience in the supervision of volunteers.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,316.09 per week pro-rata
  • 38 hours over 10 working days
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
